Success at the British Bird Fair!

We were flying the flag (literally) for Scotland again this year at the British Bird Fair at Rutland Water in August. Not even the rain could keep people away and we were as busy as last year answering people’s questions on the best places to see wildlife and when.

This year we teamed up with Scottish Wildlife Trust (SWT) to promote Scotland and the combination of all our expert members and SWT’s reserves provides plenty of information for people interested in exploring Scotland.

Congratulations go to Wild Scotland member, Speyside Wildlife who won the ‘Best Tourism Stand’ prize at the fair. Here’s a picture of the Speyside Wildlife team with Wild Scotland manager, Caroline Warburton.

Congratulations also go to the six lucky winners of our Bird Fair Prize Draw. VIsitors to our stand had to collect six wildlife stamps from other Wild Scotland members’ stand (Aigas, Heatherlea, Island Holidays, Orcadian Wildlife and Speyside Wildlife) to have the chance of winning one of six wildlife-watching trips in Scotland, including a week-long holiday with Heatherlea.

We’ll be at the fair again next year so perhaps we’ll see you there!
