Nov 9, 2007

Wild Scotland members welcomed their new Chairman, Ben Mardall at their recent AGM at Battleby.

Ben Mardall of Rural Consulting based on Ardnamurchan was voted in as Chairman. Ben takes over the reins from Richard Fairbairns of Sea Life Surveys, Isle of Mull.

Richard was the inaugural chair of Wild Scotland and has stood down after four years. During these four years the association has grown considerably and the association thanked Richard for all his hard work and leadership during these early years.

Incoming Chairman, Ben Mardall commented, “I am very pleased to be elected Chairman at this important time in the development of Wild Scotland. Richard Fairbairns our past chairman has laid a firm foundation for the organisation and for that we are very grateful. The challenge before us now is to secure future funding and the continuation of quality growth in the sector. I look forward to working with the members and helping project Wild Scotland to the wider industry”.
