Wild Scotland Conference 2008

Presentations now Available

Wild Scotland’s Annual Conference was heralded a great success by all who attended the event near Perth yesterday.  The conference brought together an excellent range of speakers to discuss how wildlife tourism in Scotland has developed but also how it can go forward into the next decade.

Over 70 delegates attended the event at Scottish Natural Heritage’s Conference Centre at Battleby, and the presentations stimulated plenty of food for thought.

Wild Scotland, the national wildlife tourism operators association, revealed that its members contributed £9.3million to the Scottish economy. This figure excludes secondary spending on accommodation, transport and food.

Presentations by the speakers are available here:

  • The Wildlife Tourism Sector: how are we fairing? – Caroline Warburton, Wild Scotland
  • Wildlife Tourism as Park of Marketing Scotland – Gwen Raez, VisitScotland
