Good news for wildlife on Balmoral

Throughout the year, Balmoral Estate Ranger Service are monitoring many of the key species that live on the Estate. These include black grouse, capercaillie, red deer and a number of birds of prey.

The data gathered is fed back to conservation organisations, such as Scottish Natural Heritage, who collate the information into national status reports on Scotland’s biodiversity. The Ranger Service also use the data to provide an indication of the health of the Estate’s habitats. Below are links to summaries of this data for key species.
