Nature-based tourism is worth £1.4bn a year

A recent publication has claimed that nature tourism generates at least £1.4 billion a year for the Scottish economy. According to the report 39,000 full time jobs are also supported by the industry.

The study had been commissioned by Scottish Natural Heritage as part of a wider research to quntify the value of nature to the economy.
