A great new website has been launched to encourage people to visit Dumfries and Galloway this autumn.

The website called Wild Seasons has been produced by a group of organisations including Wild Scotland members Cream o’Galloway and Forestry Commission Scotland, and brings together all the events taking place in the region during October.

Scotland’s most south westerly county comes alive in autumn when tens of thousands of birds visit to escape the Arctic winters further north. Events include Hedgerow Safaris at Cream o’Galloway and an Autumn Colours Photography afternoon at Glentrool.

There’s also a great video which leaves you in no doubt that it’s the place to visit for an autumn wildlife break.
