Funding available to attend Adventure Travel World Summit in October.

Wild Scotland, the Scottish wildlife & adventure tourism association, and Scottish Development International (SDI) are delighted to announce funding support for businesses wishing to attend this year’s Adventure Travel World Summit.

Organised by the Adventure Travel Trade Association (ATTA), the Adventure Travel World Summit (ATWS) is the key event for the adventure travel trade, with over 600 delegates attending from across the world. The 2012 Summit is being held in Lucerne, Switzerland from 8th – 11th October.

In 2010, this prestigious event was held in Aviemore and over 50 Scottish companies were involved in delivering first-class fam trips for the delegates and activities. Last year the event was held in Mexico and 18 Scottish businesses together with VisitScotland and Scottish Development International flew the flag for Scotland through the hosting of a special Scotland Night.

Up to 50% funding is available to eligible operators and terms and conditions apply. Participating businesses will be expected to join Wild Scotland, and as a result will also qualify for a 40% discount off membership of ATTA, thereby reducing their costs further.

Places are limited and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.

Full details about the funding criteria can be downloaded here.
