Goldstar SHORTLIST 2014

C-N-Do Scotland Ltd among finalists revealed for this year’s Green Tourism Goldstar Awards

Sixty of the UK’s most environmentally sustainable businesses have been shortlisted for one of the country’s most coveted awards – a Green Tourism Goldstar. Among these finalists are one of our very own Wild Scotland members C-N-Do Scotland Ltd who have successfully been nominated in the Best Tour Operator category for their Scottish walking holidays and wildlife experiences.

Margaret Porter, MD of C-N-Do Scotland, said:  “What wonderful news that our basic ethos from 1984 is being recognized as by GTBS.  Our low impact, small group tours walking through the Scottish countryside, exploring wild landscapes and learning about all things Scottish  have only ever improved over the past 30 years as our many repeat walkers testify.  At last walking in Scotland and sound green business ethics are now seen as mainstream.  C-N-Do has enjoyed helping to shape Scottish tourism over the years and, as this recognition indicates, we’re still leading the way.

All of the finalists, which include 36 from England, 22 from Scotland, one from Wales and one from Northern Ireland, were chosen from over 2,400 green tourism companies assessed for their innovation, cost savings and green ambassadorship.

Wild Scotland would like to take this moment to congratulate C-N-Do Scotland Ltd and wish them all the best for the results which will be announced at the Green Tourism Annual conference on the 10th November at a special ceremony held in the Palace Hotel, Manchester.
