Directions
From Stirling take the M9 south & then join the M80 towards Glasgow. Take the M73 turnoff signposted Carlisle & then join the M74. There are extensive road works with a speed limit of 50mph monitored by average speed cameras. This is unlikely to result in much delay at the weekend.
At junction 6 take the exit signposted Motherwell & Wishaw (A723). Follow this road to the first major set of traffic lights & filter right towards Motherwell(on the left is the entrance to Strathclyde Country Park). Continue to the 4th roundabout with a Vauxhall car dealer on the right & straight on is the ELIM Pentecostal Church. Turn right at this roundabout where there is also a sign to RSPB Baron’s Haugh. Continue this road to the end, turn left & almost immediately turn right on a small road marked for Baron’s Haugh & the Dalzell estate. The car park is on the right after a few yards & we will meet there at 10 am. The journey is approximately 34 mls. & will take about an hour.
Grid reference NO 754553. Postcode ML1 2PZ(nearest location just before the turning into the road leading to the car park).
