The Scottish “Big Five” of golden eagle, red deer, red squirrel, otter and harbour seal can all be found within 25 miles of Fort William and Wild West offer regular safaris throughout the year to look for all five on a single day trip

From Easter until the beginning of October, the full day Wednesday safari includes a two hour cruise on Loch shiel, taking you into the heart of one of the most remote regions of the highlands of Scotland. For the last two years a pair of white tailed eagles have successfully nested on the shores of the loch giving guests on this trip amazing close up views of these majestic birds.
