Exploring Scotland on foot is a great way to see the country whatever your age or ability. From all-ability trails suitable for pushchairs and wheelchairs to long-distance paths such as The West Highland Way or Great Glen Way to Munro bagging (the name of mountains in Scotland over 3,000 ft (914.4 m) in height – there are 282 of them).

Trail walking and hiking  are available all over the country with a number of providers providing fully guided group trips or self-guided holidays.

Our long-distance trails are also very popular. Famous paths are the West Highland Way, Great Glen Way, Cateran Trail, Fife Coastal Path and Southern Upland Way. You can join a group, do it independently and get your bags transferred between stops.

Climb up one of the many hills, munros or mountains in Scotland and take in the exceptional views from the top. With views that stretch for miles and miles, they will not disappoint.

Have a look at the providers listed below and explore the options available. Maybe you will find the walking holiday you have always dreamt of!
