SWT's Falls of Clyde Visitor Centre and Wildlife Reserve is located within the World Heritage Site of New Lanark and sits at the gateway to the Clyde Valley Woodlands National Nature Reserve. Approximately 70,000 visitors per year visit this inspirational landscape with three dramatic waterfalls, beautiful ancient woodlands and abundant wildlife. More than 100 species of bird are found on the reserve, including unsurpassed views of nesting peregrine falcons (March - June).
The Falls of Clyde VIsitor Centre had a £500,000 renovation in 2005 and offers visitors of all ages the chance to find out more about the creatures and features of the reserve with our interactive displays and live CCTV images. The centre achieved a four star visitor attraction award in 2006 and is currently awaiting assessment for the Green Tourism Business Scheme. SWT's ranger service operates a seasonal events programme including 'Badger Watches', 'Clyde-Side Saunters' and a variety of family events.
