Seafari Adventures are Oban’s first and original VisitScotland Quality Assured 4* Wildlife Experience. We specialise in offering a unique combination of high adventure and pure exhilaration with the thrill of close encounters with Scotland’s magnificent sealife and beautiful scenery. We offer a wide range of tours with something to suit everyone: wildlife, folklore and local history.
Corryvreckan Wildlife Trip
On our open boats, this trip takes you around the islands spotting for wildlife visiting the Gulf of Corryvreckan, home to the world’s third largest whirlpool. Our expert guides will identify and offer detailed information on all the wildlife found in the area. Staff are WISE accredited ensuring your tour is properly managed.
Whirlpool Special Trip
This tour takes you through the “Gulf” when the tide it at its biggest. Our skippers are experts in judging where the whirlpools will form ensuring you get an exhilarating ride through the whirlpool area. If the conditions are right they’ll give you a spin!
Whalewatching Trip
Our cabin boats will whist you out to the whale “hotspots” for some whale watching. Our fleet of five boats are out on the water daily, skippers are aware of what is happening in the area. All our whale watching trips are specifically timed to offer the best chance of success.
Iona and Staffa Express
Pop across to the magical island of Iona. Visit St Columba’s Abbey, with ample time ashore to relax and enjoy the atmosphere. This tour includes a non landing trip to Staffa (Fingal’s Cave). Enjoy all the wildlife along the way with a full and informative commentary.
Colonsay Day Trip
We are the only company to visit Colonsay in a day. You have five hours ashore to enjoy this amazing island. Take a minibus tour of Colonsay and Oronsay, hire a bike (both extra), or just simply wander along some of the fantastic beaches the island has to offer. A naturalist’paradise.
Garvellach Landing Trip
The Garvellach Landing Trip takes you into the bay which St Brendan used in 542AD. After a short guided walk to the early Christian ruins roam this wonderful tranquil island reassured our crew are ashore ready to help and answer questions. Please note that landing on this island may involve transfer to our dinghy or landing across the foreshore rocks. There are no facilities on this island. Footpaths, if any, are rough. Please dress sensibly and wear appropriate footwear.
Private Charter
With our vast knowledge of the area we are able to provide a completely unique tour or adventure that will make your holiday memorable. We also offer a private charter/ ferry service to many islands. We are the chosen supplier of boat services to Northern Lighthouse Board (Oban).
