Wild West offer a selection of wildlife safaris from 2 1/2 hours to a full day. Transport is by comfortable minibus. Species regularly spotted include red deer, golden and sea eagles, osprey, black throated diver and scoter. Our scheduled trips include red deer safaris in Glen Garry and a full day safari to Kinloch Hourn on the edge of the Knoydart peninsula, Europe’s last great wilderness.
New for 2011 is Wild West Forest Safari, on which we will spend a morning driving through the Glengarry forests looking for woodland creatures such as crossbill, crested tit, roe and sika deer and many of the other woodland creatures that live here, before returning via Loch Garry to look for black throated diver and scoter.
Throughout October, safaris to watch the red deer rut are available twice daily if demand dictates. Bespoke safaris for groups of up to seven are also available throughout the year and pick ups can be arranged. Please call to discuss your requirements.
