New Woodland Classroom for Aigas Field Centre

Wild Scotland member,
Aigas Field Centre will be celebrating the opening of their purpose-built
“woodland classroom” in spring 2008.
The eco-friendly classroom will be built using home-grown timber and will feature solar panels, wind turbine, turf roof, reed bed sewage system, and air-source heating system. The new building will allow the field centre to expand their current programme of environmental education for both children and adults and will be used to host guest lectures and workshops.
A grand opening for the classroom will be held in May/June.
