Whale Watching Conference in Iceland: 12th-14th March 2008
Icewhale (Iceland’s Whale Watching Association), with support from IFAW (International Fund for Animal Welfare) have organised a conference for wildlife tour operators, students and anyone considering setting up a business in wildlife tourism.
The conference takes place in Reykyavik from 12th – 14th March 2008.
Highlights of the conference include:
- Education onboard whale-watching vessels – a talk followed by a workshop to share information and ideas.
- Research onboard – techniques and equipment available and how it benefits businesses.
- Making your whale-watching business more sustainable.
The conference fee includes 3 nights accommodation at the Hotel Selfoss, coach transfer to and from the hotel and all meals. The fee is ISK 25,000 (approximately £200).
If you reserve your place before 16th January 2008, you will receive a 20% discount on the conference fee.
