Wild Scotland – Official Supporter of World Responsible Tourism Day 2012
Wild Scotland is proud to be an official supporter of World Responsible Tourism Day 2012 on Wednesday 6th November.
World Responsible Tourism Day (WRTD) is celebrated every year across the world, when it provides a focus on the issues and opportunities for the tourism industry to deliver truly responsible tourism.
Responsible tourism is defined as ‘tourism that creates better places for people to live in and better places for people to visit‘, a phrase which Wild Scotland and its members whole-heartedly endorse.
As part of our support for the day, Wild Scotland manager, Caroline Warburton will be speaking at a seminar on ‘wildlife tourism’ at The World Travel Market in London next week. The World Travel Market, one of the largest travel trade shows in the world is the heart of WRTD’s activities and a wide range of seminars are being held across the three day show.
